Technical clothing for running upper part
As for the clothing for technical running for the upper part, depending on the season, the following are generally used: jerseys, tank tops, jackets, and windproof jackets; on colder days you can also resort to the use of accessories such as the neck warmer or a hat (or multifunction tubular).
During the winter season, it is advisable for men to purchase a long-sleeved shirt for men’s running and for women to purchase women’s running jackets. The main aspect is that the materials with which these garments are made are in line with the ideal characteristics for running, that is, they are able to absorb moisture, are breathable, and do not generate bad odors.
Cotton garments often tend to facilitate the stagnation of body sweat within the fabric and are therefore generally not recommended. Polypropylene is a synthetic polymer with low specific weight and therefore very light, particularly suitable for running.
The weave of polypropylene fabrics is made to withstand all types of stresses such as atmospheric agents (rain, humidity, heat) and washing, denoting great resistance to bad weather.
The most important feature, however, is that, even in summer, of preserving the body from moisture, making it always dry : this fiber very quickly transfers the water content to the outside, drying the body.
For this reason, this fabric is also used during periods of heat such as a women’s running tank top.
Bottom part technical running clothing
For the lower part, it is important to buy trousers that are not too much, too loose or too tight, but that go to wrap the lower limbs in a natural way , not accusing annoying rubbing during the movements.
Another aspect that should never be underestimated is the type of socks to wear for a running session (long or short): if the sock is not suitable for running, tedious foot problems may arise due to the formation of blisters due to chafing.
A good pair of men’s running socks should consist of a spongy and antibacterial texture, which remains firmly on the foot and protects it from any chafing.
